Natural cosmetics ≠ Natural cosmetics
Why can you say that?
In short, there is currently no standardized definition or certification for the term “natural cosmetics”.
This means that different manufacturers may have different standards and criteria for their natural cosmetic products.
What is natural cosmetics for you?
For me personally, natural cosmetics means using raw materials from nature and/or products (emulsifiers, preservatives, etc.) that are derived from natural raw materials.
I have therefore based my company philosophy on this:
Nature on the skin
Nature offers valuable products that we can use without having to resort to reproductions.
Surfactants and silicones can also be used in products in a natural way – they do not necessarily have to be produced synthetically.
What does nature provide us with in this respect?
One example of this is lauric acid, a natural fatty acid that can be described as a natural surfactant . Coconut, babassu and palm kernel oils are the raw materials with the highest lauric acid content. For this reason, soaps made with the aforementioned oils have a very high cleansing factor. The natural surfactant is biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
Another example is broccoli seed oil, the“natural silicone“. It has a similar smoothing and caring effect to synthetic imitations. Broccoli seed oil contains a high concentration of vitamins, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. These valuable components of broccoli seed oil can help to soothe, moisturize and protect the skin. This natural treasure is a real MUST for hair care in particular.
Would you like to find out more about this valuable oil? Then I recommend you here to satisfy your curiosity.
Have you already tried one of my hair soaps with broccoli seed oil?
- “Love-Your-Hair” – I personally wouldn’t want to do without it (it makes my hair supple so that I no longer need conditioner).
- “Holidy-for-your-hair” – Especially for thin hair, the brine used in this product should give you a little more stability and the broccoli seed oil provides the necessary shine.
It’s fascinating that we can find everything our skin and hair need in nature. That should give us pause for thought, shouldn’t it?
